Elevator Girl
an excerpt
The nudist play was a bust. It was not a hilarious romp through a nudists’ colony, like I had hoped. Instead it was a depressing series of soliloquies in which the cast referred to themselves in the third person and said things like, ”Jane is afraid. Jane covers herself to hide her fear. Jane has come to the colony to face her fear. Jane will shed, layer by layer, until she is free. Run, Jane, run! Be free from the clothes in which society dresses you! Run!” The cast also wore flesh colored bodysuits. That’s the Midwest for you.
