Synopsis: iRon-ic Suicides
Ronald Humphrey won the lottery on his birthday and now all of the women in the nursing home are looking to hook up with him, hoping to win his affection, his money and secure a fine funeral for themselves and a comfortable future for their offspring.
Ron Jenkins, an obsessive-compulsive safety nut and computer programmer in Kansas City, is forced to fly to Los Angeles for his brother's wedding and can only pray that nothing happens on his way there - or back.
Veronica Adams grabbed her GED so that she could get the hell out of Missoula and start a life the way she wants it to be. But her dream to make it big in Hollywood has taken the back seat to paying rent and putting food on her table. So now, she's stuck working in a bridal boutique off Rodeo Drive, selling overpriced gowns to women she knows don't have a chance of lasting more than a year with the men they've hooked up with. If matters couldn't be worse, she got a speeding ticket when she went out of her way to deliver a veil to a rising starlet and has to spend her Saturday in traffic school instead of heading up the coast with her friends for a weekend at the spa.
DeRon Williams has been on death row for five years for a crime he denies having even any knowledge of when it happened; that he was hundreds of miles away. His last appeal hangs in the balance as the minutes count down and thousands congregate outside the prison walls, half to protest and the rest to cheer his impending death.
Kissmiet Lanai has a secret but for the life of her, everyone she needs to speak with either aren't available to her or won't listen to what she's trying to tell them and the thing is, it's a matter of life and death --possibly even her own.
Inspired by Alanis Morissette's song, "Ironic", iRon-ic Suicides will leave you laughing, crying, cheering and jeering all while the song plays over and over in your head. Because: life has a funny way of sneaking up on you when you think everything's okay and everthing's going right and life has a funny way of helping you out when you think everything's gone wrong and everything blows up in your face.
