Synopsis: [working title] The One With the Vigilantes
There's something subtly weird going on in the early hours of Seattle's mornings. There are doormen who eat homeless people, police cars speeding down the street without drivers, and echo-y scratching noises coming from somewhere. Ezzy is perfectly happy to ignore all of that as she makes her way to work. It is obviously a symptom of sleep-deprivation! But then she gets attacked by something leathery and fast in the middle of the street and, just as quickly, saved by a troop of blood-thirsty girl scouts. The deep scratches on her arms seem pretty real, even hours later, in the sane light--well, gray--of day. Now she doesn't know what to think, and it doesn't look like she's going to get a choice in her involvement, either, because the most unlikely people keep acting as if she's in on some secret, and only a few of them are happy about that.
