Synopsis: Against the Grain

After the company Anwesha works for goes under and she's dumped by her actor/waiter/bum of a boyfriend she finds herself in a spot she just can't get out of on her own. After weeks of rejection and finding her savings really did have a limit, she's forced to do the one thing she didn't want to, call her family. Unable to bear hearing her parents say “I told you so” she decides to call her cousin, Anala. After accepting a job with her aunt and uncle, Anwesha finds her life taking a turn she never expected, leading her back to the culture she had turned her back on. Can she reconcile the modern woman she wants to be, with the ancient culture of those that came before her?
