Basic plot: Jilted ex-actress returns home to coastal Virginia to nurse her very publicly-made wounds, and begins reconnecting with old friends and family, only to get elected the Acting Coroner (anon., by someone with ulterior motives) because technically she did graduate medical school before playing a Doctor on the hit medical drama (Whatever). Soon, MC finds herself knee-deep in a perplexing string of murders while trying to get her life back together...and catch the killer before they manage to catch her...
