Tyrmalos
an excerpt

“Trakas?” Mariette called as she sat up in a lavishly down bed.
“Here, my love,” her Dark Mage parted the set of curtains and came through a doorway.
Deep inside Mariette, something burst wide open flooding her chest with warmth, pure liquid heat pooled low in her body. Taking a deep breath, she tried to pull herself together.
“Where am I?” She tried to ask with dignity, but wanted to throw one of pillows at his head as he smirked at her broken voice.
“You are in our bed. You went to relax in the bath before dinner, but fell asleep in there. I found the idea for the gown your mind, so I made sure you were clothed in it before I took you out of the bath – your modesty remains intact,” He explained with a smile as he gave a little bow. “Then I brought you in here and placed you under the covers, leaving you to sleep as much as I wanted to do other things with you.” His smile was a little wicked, with a hint of boyish charm.
‘Goddess, give me strength, I won’t be able to withstand him for long.’ Mariette prayed, getting lost in his electric blue eyes.
A thought stirred in the back of her mind, ‘Why? Why resist this man who was the perfect foil for her? He had created a storm to secure her from her protective sister.’
‘Because he created a storm to snatch me from my sister,’ the more rational part of her mind put in, ‘besides we don’t know him yet, let’s take it slow.’
The impulsive nature of Mari rebelled at that as her eyes drank in his physic, seeing the bulge in the front of his pants set her mouth watering. She threw back covers, finding herself dressed a clinging silk gown she shifted to her knees. “So, do you like this gown you pulled from my thoughts?” Mariette did not recognize this deeply sensual voice that came from her.
“Mariette?” Trakas looked at her, questions in his eyes as he stepped back a step away from the bed.
“I see no reason to wait any longer, we are soulbonded, why not enjoy one another?” Mariette ran her hands up her body over the silk covering it.
Inside Mariette was screaming no, she was trying to get Trakas to see, this wasn’t her talking, trying to form words with her uncooperative vocal cords, her neck muscles wouldn’t shake her head, she didn’t know if her terror was showing in her eyes.
Trakas cocked his head, his eyes narrowing, heat flared in them. His body relaxed, “Are you sure this is what you want, my kitten?” A slow sexy smile curved his lips.
“Yes,” her body purred. Mariette thought through every spell book she had ever read, every bit of lore she had ever come across for something, anything that would kick this intruder out of her body.
Trakas’ shirt was off, Great Goddess he had a perfect chest, slim and hairless, the wiry muscles defined. Mariette could taste the salt from his skin on her tongue as she licked her way down it. A tremor went through her as he gripped her hair and she settled her lips over his flat nipples.
“Very nice, my little virgin.” He growled, suddenly pushing her back on the bed.
Mariette felt stings of magic weave bonds on her wrists and ankles, securing her to bed. Her body moaned and tried to wiggle to offer a part of herself up to Trakas. “I forgot you liked it rough.” Her body purred.
“I haven’t forgotten, Me’yong that you do.” His voice was hard as he sat on the edge of the bed.
“Who is Me’yong?” the person in her body pouted.
“Enough games, why are you in my soul mate’s body? More importantly, with all the protections and safeguards, how are you in my soul mate’s body?” He demanded.
She laughed, softly, sensuously, “Why not? As you said she is virgin, she cannot satisfy your hungers. How? That was a little harder, but when she fell asleep, she dream walked, leaving me an opening.” She laughed and suddenly Mariette, locked deep within her own body, knew what she had to do.
‘I am Mariette Turnsbury, I am a witch, I am elemental One with the Air, I am strong, I am a woman, I know what I want, I want my soul mate, I will be able to please Trakas.” Slowly she made each point in her mind. ‘I am enough, I am beautiful.’ She kept repeating each point, letting the litany get stronger each time she went through it. When she had one through it three times three times she shouted at the end; “Me’yong, get OUT!” The shout was not just mental, but physical as the spirit fled body.
The restraints were immediately gone, she curled into a ball crying. She felt the bed dip as Trakas eased himself beside her. He rapped his arms around her and pulled into his chest. “That is ma’talis, I knew would find a way to rid yourself of her,” he soothed her hair with his hand.
“I was so scared, and then you gave me her name and how she got in. Why did she fall for it?” Mariette turned her head to look at him.
“Me’yong is an old soul, but she didn’t know you are a witch, a very strong one and she underestimated you. I never did.” He pulled her closer, trying to give her his warmth.
“You were involved with her?” She made it a statement more than a question, keeping her back to him.
“A very long time ago, I was young, randy and stupid.” He admitted, nuzzling her neck. “I have since learned the only way to love is with a true soulbond mate. She was mortal, a hedge witch, I know even then I was an Air Mage, immortal. I broke it off after a couple years, know she was not my soulbond mate, and knowing I was damaging myself. She did not take it well,” She could feel his grimace, “and saying that I was soulbond mate and that I had broke our bond for my own means, she threw herself off a cliff.” Trakas clucked her tighter as she shuddered.
“I am so sorry, ma’tame, she was an unstable girl.” Mariette ran her fingers gently over his clasped ones.
“She wanted power that she thought she would get it by seducing me. Some how she thought I could turn her immortal. But she was a simple hedge witch and our souls were not a match.” His voice was low, sadness seeping out.
“Did you love her?” Mariette held her breath for the answer.
“No that was where the problem lay, I couldn’t – no wouldn’t – give my heart to any but she that was my match in magic, immorality and passion.” He nuzzled her neck again, burrowing his way through her hair to skin. One of his hands that had been resting on her stomach started sliding up to just under her breast.
“I am not immortal.” Mariette pointed out.
“When you cam through the barriers between our worlds you level of magic increased your life span.” Gently he rubbed the bottom of her breast through the silk and lace.
Mariette turned to look at him, placing her hands on the warm skin of his chest. She let them rest there a moment, and then she tucked her hands against her chest and tore her eyes away to look in to his blue ones. “What?” she questioned his smirk.
“Nothing,” then a full grin split his face and laughing her rolled her on her back, leaning over her. “You are special. Wonderful.” He punctuated each point with a kiss somewhere on her face or neck, “Perfect, dreamy, innocent, and mine.”
