Synopsis: Quagmire

Muddy, a (the?) main character, has kindly agreed to explain things for me:
"This story is about about strange and mysterious happenings in the forest where I grew up. Well, and frogs; we're the ones making things so strange. Well, not me personally, I just live here. Ahh... so, it turns out that some frogs can do more than sing and tell stories: they can change everything we thought was real. It's rather unsettling."

Excerpt: Quagmire

“There’s some kind of violent frog. He attacked the salamander.” explained Muddy.
Clouded made a happy sounding trill. “Time to sort it out, then.”
Muddy stared at him. “What are you talking about?”
Clouded looked down at him. “Didn’t Hunter tell you, little brother? I’m a warrior from high in the mountains. Watch, I’ll show you how we settle things.”
