Favorite novels: Neverwhere & Stardust by Neil Gaiman, Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes, any sort of good fantasy or science fiction sort of thing, really. And Terry Pratchett, he is sheer genius in a paperback. Or chick lit, that works too. Where Rainbows End, by Cecilia Ahern, is really good, managing to capture a relationship through many years. & Sundowners, by Lesley Lokko. And of course Pride and Prejudice, give yourself a slap round the head if you don't know the author of this one.

Favorite writers: Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Ali Smith, Lesley Lokko, etcetc not much time to read, nowadays. Shame.

Favorite music: A Fine Frenzy, Rachael Yamagata, Regina Spektor, Damien Rice, Carrie Underwood, Sara Bareilles, Mandy Moore, anything easy listening, really, maybe Aqualung? stuff that's not the horrible sort of bubblegum pop like, ugh, Ashley Tisdale. But not rock. Rock's too distracting, even pop rock.

Non-noveling interests: Listening to music, and supposedly I like playing the violin because I'm rather good at it when I bother practicing, but practicing is something awful to even think about. And yes, I think singing in toilets is pretty cool. Especially the ones with marble walls and floors and ceilings. And I like writing poetry- sometimes just crazy fun, most of the time emo shit that doesn't really mean anything but sounds pretty or artsy.
