Synopsis: Bujanen

Is it possible for a woman to love the man who killed her husband?

When Skyvwen the Mejiq leads an alliance of barons to take the trading city of Bujanen, his first step is to kill the city's elected mayor and install himself as Prince.

Skyvwen clashes with the mayor's widow, Rose Pelim, who has channelled her grief into championing the city's dispossessed. As Skyvwen's passion for the widow grows, so too does conflict in the city between the barons and the burghers but more worryingly with the mighty Resnian Empire.
