Excerpt: Warriors Heart
The beast that had been in Jessie’s dreams over the last few days stepped out from the shadows of the water tower atop the building. He was emmense and nearly as large as a city bus but Jessie never heard him coming. He was quiet and his breathing was controlled and very slow.
“Its dark enough up here that no one will be able to see you, no need to hide back there!” The voice Jessie found earlier today seemed to have gone down an octave.
The larger than life beast moved a little closer to the edge of the build and a little closer to Jessie.
“I fear not the people you are looking at. To say the least they would be somewhat amused to see a sight like me on this platform. No I say that I am mearly trying to keep my distance and allow you to take in all that you now know, all that you did not know previously.”
Jessie understood the concern for his own mental well being and he felt something, maybe it was touched or even a little frightened at the beasts own concern. Either way he though it was the a good idea to hold back from the edge and let things settle in for a few momoent.
“That is good of you Ayelon.” Jessie’s head was spinning now and he didn’t know where to begin.
