Between Dusk & Dawn
an excerpt

While these thoughts clouded his mind and tripped over one another in a desperate attempt to remain coherent and maintain sense and while his mind raced at an impossible speed against time, after what seemed like an eternity, but in reality was not more than a few seconds, the woman who had occupied his vision, his thoughts, his very being and his very reason for existence for the last few seconds, came up, with her male companion in the hat and coat still trailing her by the hand, to join the group of three comprising Z, W and FD.

Z asked this question pointedly to B, using just the right number of words, not too many, not too less, ensuring that the answer she would have to give to his question was already a positive one, narrowing his eyes to lock his gaze on B’s eyes as she turned at the question, trying to make it as explicit as possible that C, W, FD and the rest of humankind that might ever set foot on planet Earth in the past, present and future was excluded from this special relationship that he was attempting to forge with B for the night and maybe longer, a major step in the commitment issue for Z.
