Synopsis: How I Finished My Dissertation: A Novel About Boys, Shoes, and Texas Secession
A Texas native, Roz has been living in New York City for five years now, two of those ABD. She works part-time as a researcher for a lobbyist straight out of The Devil Wears Prada and she's engaged to an economist. But when rebels within Roz's home state start mounting a serious secession movement, she seizes the opportunity to do hands-on research and to rekindle her relationship with her ex-boyfriend.
