Connor and the Wid West ( series )
an excerpt

These are the first two paragraphs of my opening story.

Connor hated outings. He would much rather curl up on a sofa and read, but every Sunday on the dot at two o` -clock, he was forced by his parents to trudge around
Somewhere or some place horrible, wearing clothes he hated.
Last week, for example; his parents made him walk for miles along a riverbank with his baby sister and brother in tow. He would not have minded if the weather had not been so cold and damp. His dad had said it was to build character, but Connor reckoned it was an excuse to get them all worn - out.
