Half a world away a gun shot slit the night and one bad guy fell heavily in a puddled cobblestone alley. The rest of the gang darted like rats into the alley’s shadows and took up fire position against this unknown and unseen enemy. It really didn’t matter who he or they were, their intent was surely their lives, which none of the gang were ready to yet give up. The musty, hot, seaport air hung like a sticky, itchy burlap sack over the warehouse. Salt sweat stung the eyes and strangling cobwebs kept giving the gang jitters as they moved slowly about in the dark.
