Favorite novels: American Gods, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter (all of them), Wicked, a whole bunch more but if I kept going I'd get to 50K words without writing a word of a story.
Favorite writers: Neil Gaiman, Tamora Pierce, JRR Tolkien.
Favorite music: I've got such ecclectic tastes in music that it sort of depends on the part of the book and my mood that day.
Non-noveling interests: I have an addiction to certain TV shows. At the moment Supernatural is at the top of my list.

Changeling Diaries (working Title)
an excerpt
“What are we going to do?” The foreman asked. “More and more slaves are talking back and making stands. This won’t do. Work won’t get done; we’ll have to kill them, but I don’t want to work in the pit.”
The warden sighed calmly. Listening to his men and the foreman made him realize why they were the bottom rung of the fairy world. “We don’t have to kill them all. We just need to publicly execute that one, Dirt. He’s the instigator. If he’s out of the way, the other slaves won’t have the confidence to rebel. We’ll have broken them more effectively than our years of brainwashing have done.”
“Which one?” Asked one of the newer guards.
“Dirt is the one who carried the little red-head away after her flogging yesterday evening,” one of the senior guards replied around a mouthful of bread.
“Dirt,” the Foreman sighed. “You’re right, he’s always been a problem he was insubordinate before anyone else.”
“We’ll take him tomorrow. Keep him the stocks for a few days and then cut off his head and leave it on a pike near the slave quarters.”
