Kate sighed, and drew again on her cigarette. It was probably her twentieth for the day, but she excused herself for this. She hadn’t smoked this much in a long time but the hurt of Alex moving out still dragged her down day after day. Beer and cigarettes seemed the best way to nourish herself at the moment, and food was rapidly falling to the bottom of the list.
