Brief Author Bio: IO does not like writing in first person for the most part, so unlike many others, she chose to do hers in third person. She values quality, interesting, flawed, and entertaining characters above all else in writing, but a unique and creative plot is a close second. This means that she loves GOOD books and GOOD writing. This does NOT include Twilight or Eragon. At all. She found them predictable, sappy, annoying, and felt that the characters lacked... well... character. This being said, her original characters are her life. Her heart and soul go into fleshing out these separate little aspects of her personality through both writing and art. She hopes to someday become a character developer and animator. IO loves zombies, David Bowie, Benjamin Franklin, back-rubs, kittens, and lime-green… roughly in that order. |

Synopsis:
As I am incapable of writing an outright novel and can only really write in short bursts, I've decided to make a compilation of super short stories. For the most part, every night I write a new one with a few exceptions (occasionally I'll spend two or three days on the same story.) These stories will all be one-shots of my various characters, so I'm using NaNoWriMo as a character development tool this year. Wish me luck!
Excerpt:
"She began to glance through her songs and play lists. She had several of those loud, obnoxious screamo bands in her song library, but those were simply the obligatory “goth kid” bands; the bands with the names like “Drill Skull,” “Six6Sisters” (who were ironically an all male band) and “Bloody Death Lobotomy.” If she did not have some of those bands in her iPod, Alec would have probably disowned her out of pure shame. She rarely listened to them in her free time, though. She preferred more pop rock and 80s rock, like her dad used to listen to when she was little. It was happier, quieter music from a simpler time before a couple of stoners decided they were going to try to use primitive shrieking and grunting as a musical art form."
