Eventually, Earth’s natural resources were depleted, and the world was thrown into chaos. Industry could not continue without resources, so all production came to a screeching halt. With nothing being produced, people went crazy. There were outbreaks of mass rioting, looting, murder, rape, anything and everything happened during that anarchy. But, the worst of times bring out the best of people. It was in this age of chaos and anarchy that our gracious leader, Remi Leuca came to light.

Weaving between cars and other bikes, Dustin quickly took the lead. Trailing behind in last place, Jason decided to quickly up the pace, and in a flash, Jason flew off a ramp and in front of Dustin. Realizing that she was in last place, Eve gunned the throttle. More agile than the other two, she easily slipped through traffic and onto the sidewalk. In a frantic maneuver, she drove in between pedestrians in order to catch up to Jason. Looking up, Eve realized that there was a bridge between her and the shooting range, and she couldn’t move back into traffic without slowing down. “In the time it takes me to get back into traffic, they’ll overtake me. Damn. Well, I’ve always wanted to do this,” she thought to herself, as she pressed a button on her bike, and the bike engines ignited their afterburners. Forgetting the bridge altogether, Eve drove off the natural slope of the manmade river bank. Flying in the air, she pushed another button on her bike, boosting the hover power. The combined power of the afterburners and the hover pads was still not enough. She wasn’t going to make it. In one final act of desperation, she fired the bike’s speed parachute, slowing her descent. That tiny bit was just enough to carry her to the other side, and into the parking lot of the shooting range. Appalled by her audacity, Dustin and Jason were rooted in their place. Dustin snapped out of it before Jason, and burst through traffic. Realizing that he could not catch up by pure speed, Jason tried a more agile approach. Driving up on the shoulder of the road, Jason drastically reduced the distance between him and Dustin, but it still wasn’t enough. Imitating Eve, he ignited his afterburner and raced past Dustin, flipping him off as he flew past.

Just as a flechette impaled PFC Johnson of the Discovery. “MOTHER OF BELIEF. MEDIC. MEDIC NEEDED. HOLY FUCK. I NEED HELP. ANYONE? JOHNSON’S DOWN,” screamed corporal Abrams. “Medic incoming” came a voice from behind him. SPC Byrd jumped over a pile of debris and ran over to the bleeding private. “Honey,” the medic yelled, “I need backup here.” “Coming Helen” answered a male voice from the other room. Sergeant Byrd burst through a doorway. Covering his wife, Joseph Byrd fired frantically at the advancing intruders. “What the hell are these things?” Joseph asked, “And you, corporal, get your ass up and shoot back at those alien bastards.” Red hot bullets flew down the hallway, only to be answered by blue flechettes. “Fuck,” swore the sergeant, “Those bastards have us pinned down. Hey corporal, pass me the private’s glob launcher.” Joseph pulled back the priming lever of the launcher. Looking up, he waited until the hallway was full of humanoid, insect-like aliens. “Alright you fuckers, take this,” he swore as he pulled the trigger. A huge globe of superheated plasma soared out the barrel, screaming as it flew down the hall. It made contact with a rather large alien, exploding, and disintegrating all within its blast radius. Joseph gave a whoop as alien became ash. “That’s what happens when you mess with Discovery and its crew.” Suddenly, the world flipped upside down. The Discovery had been hit with the force of an avalanche. Klaxons blared. The bright white lights were replaced with red emergency lights. The intercom crackled, and the captain of the ship barked out “All able crewmen move towards the hangar, immediately.” Joseph, Helen, the corporal and the patched up private stood. “Corporal, take point. Helen and I’ll carry Johnson here.”
