New York City girl gets divorced, inherits land from a dead relative, and moves to tiny Texas town.
Excerpt: Untitled
Anna stared at the gaping mouth of the subway station. She couldn't go in there. It was too normal. It was too much what she did every normal day and today was not a normal day. So she started walking. When she walked as far as she could, she turned and walked another way. She did this for hours, ignoring the urgent ringing of her cell phone and text notifications until her phone finally fell silent from lack of battery power.
