“Don’t go too far!” called Kit’s mother as he raced off into the bushes. He knew if he turned back she would be looking after him with that knowing smile on her face, shaking her head. He had seen that look many times, and he expected to see it many more times before she finally realized that he wasn’t a little boy any more. He was 10 years old already and yet everyone still treated him like a baby.
