Brief Author Bio: I'm just your average teenager (who everyone just happens to think is crazy). I like to write, obviously. I'll write original, fanfiction whatever floats my boat at any particular time. I am the world's biggest procrastinator... which is not very useful for this. Distractions for November 2009 include: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (even though I know I'm having it for Xmas - I've develop this twitch every time someone mentions it), Assassin's Creed 2 (also Xmas, but I know I'm having the Black Edition SQUEE!), university and shouting expletives everytime I hear "Stargate Universe", "NCIS" or "NCIS: Los Angeles". All of which I'm not going to see because I'm at university and the stupid UK channels decided that they were going to show them. |

There was a whisper in the corner of her mind again. And this time Rachel could hear everything that it was saying to her. He doesn’t suspect a thing. It sounded exactly like her, but she knew that she’d never say anything like that. Attack him now.
No. I won’t do what he wants.
If you won’t then I will. Rachel was horrified as she moved towards him. She wasn’t in control of her body. The sick bastard was right; she was going to do what he had wanted. She was about to attack her friend. She had to warn John. “Defend yourself from me.” He took a step away, surprised at the fear and urgency in her voice. John knew that she meant it. “I’m sorry.” She whispered before she lunged at him, tackling him to the ground. But he had been ready for her and so the force of their landing didn’t wind him. John managed to land some punches on her face and chest before she managed to grasp his wrists, pin him down and then straddle him. No. NO! Rachel no longer had control of her voice. She was a prisoner in her own mind. She watched as her friend writhed beneath her, desperate to escape. Escape from her. He thrashed his legs around, but was unable to buck her off.
Rachel was sobbing uncontrollably, but her body did not shed a tear. The voice was laughing at her, enjoying every second of her pain and of her total loss of control. Was empowered by it.
She could see what her body was simply ignoring. He was looking up at her, fear obvious. He was afraid of his best friend. Rachel didn’t blame him; she was afraid of herself. Of the insane thing that was controlling her actions. And she was terrified that she couldn’t do a thing to stop it. No matter how hard Rachel tried, she couldn’t regain control of her body. She was stuck in the nightmare and couldn’t wake up. She prayed that it was all a hallucination.
But she knew that it wasn’t. That it was real. And that her friend was about to die.
