Synopsis: In your eyes
The ghost of a young teenager is still haunting the girl he had a crush on. A crush he had thought to have taken with him to his grave until the fabrics of reality start to tear and fray.
Excerpt: In your eyes
“Can you do what he did…?” Julia asks out of nowhere.
“What?” I ask a bit surprised, for a moment forgetting she can’t hear me. It’s almost as if she can because she continues the conversation without a hitch.
“He was playing with my hair. He could touch me. Can you do that…?” She asks cautiously, seemingly a little unsettled with the idea of being touched by a ghost. I hadn’t thought about it. I thought about it when I had first died, but after some failed attempts and ill spells from having her pass through me I gave up on the venture. I extend a hand carefully for her bed hair.
My fingers touch the locks of hair, pushing against them softly. My heart beats softer as I can feel to softness of it against my finger.
“Heh… look at that…” I mumble a bit surprised and I wind the lock of hair around my fingers. This is the best feeling since I’ve died. I haven’t had any sensation for years and now … now this! I’m grinning from ear to ear as I play with her hair some more.
“Well thank you Liam…” I mumble. If it hadn’t been for him, would I have ever found this out?
“Ethan,” Julia says quietly, holding up her hand. Even without another word from her I know what she wants. I let go of her hair and straighten out my hand, pressing our palms together gently. My heart is beating wildly in my chest as I can feel the warmth of her skin, the sensation of slightly calloused skin tickling across my own.
“I can feel you…” I mutter quietly. Julia is holding her breath.
“I can feel you…” She says in one big exhale.
