Synopsis: The Bone Cart

Delvarn Jastrei made a promise. She will not return home until the day when she can carry the bones of Lyrelein, her mentor, back to her family of travelers. Her people always bring the ossuaries holding the bones of their ancestors with them wherever they travel, and they have a legend: whoever sleeps in the Bone Cart will receive dreams containing messages and wisdom from the ancestors.

While she waits for Lyrelein's ossuary to be prepared, Del travels around the Karsel countryside, doing odd jobs and occasionally hiring herself out as a guide to travelers. One day, she agrees to take an impressionable young girl on a pilgrimage to an annual festival in the capital city. By now, the bones are ready, and they stop to pick up the ossuary along the way. What Del doesn't know is that Relaia Shethen is planning more than simply a pilgrimage, and she's been having some very strange dreams...
