Synopsis: Netherworld

Netherworld is a deconstruction of the urban fantasy genre, combining elements of humor, mystery, and adventure to create a story layered with political satire and intense action.
The Netherworld is a dimension parallel to ours, where all the gods, demons, dreams, and nightmares that we've ever had have lives of their own. Among its denizens is a detective named Desmond, who on a visit to the mortal realm saves a young woman named Charlie from demons. She hires him to protect her from the creatures chasing her and find out why they are, leading to a thrill-packed hunt for clues around the Netherworld. Along the way they are assisted by a Broadway-musical loving vampire named Ryan, an alcoholic Japanese warrior goddess, and a suprisingly affable and noble Lucifer. Together, they discover the secrets of each other's pasts, a far-reaching murder plot among the gods, and a sinister plan that could tear both worlds asunder.
