Synopsis: ConSweet
When Ashely's public relations job sends her to Chicago for one of the biggest science fiction and media conventions of the year, she's distinctly less than pleased. As much as she's not a fan of science fiction, she's really not a fan of the loud-mouth, hard-drinking rising star of new space adventure show, Io Station, she's being sent to the con to babysit.
Luckily, two of her closest friends from college will also be there, although with agendas of their own: Hope, an aspiring actress who has always prided herself on being the prettiest geek in the room, is keeping a list of celebrities she'd like to share a drink and a whole lot more with, while Jean is trying to make sure her colleagues in event planning at one of the conference host hotels don't find out that she loves to dress up as comic-book characters in her spare time.
Will Ashley, Hope and Jean find anything but aggravation in Chicago? What stresses will the chaos of the con put on their friendships, professional lives and romantic dreams, especially as they accidentally become key players in the narrative of an anonymous Internet gossip column? Love lurks in unlikely places at an event designed to make sure no one is actually what they seem.
