Hit-woman
an excerpt

‘Shit. It happened again. I knew I should have just stayed in bed today. Just when you think you’re doing things right, reality sneaks up on you and reminds you that you are truly the worlds unluckiest woman.’ Emma plops down behind the low wall and takes the scope off her rifle. She puts the safety back on so as not to screw anything else up. One supreme mess up is more than enough for today.

It was suppose to be simple. She had received the call with all the information she needed: the who, what, when and where. It was a perfect, no, it was a classic set up. A rooftop location with a perfect view of the hit as she walked out of the restaurant across the street. Of course no one could have counted on the bimbo walking right out into the street and right in front of that transport. ‘Splat. Actually it was probably more of a thump and squish’, mused Emma as she started to pack up her gear.
