At one point, I had this candy dispenser in our room, and we got in the habit of unscrewing the top and grabbing out a handful of whatever candy was in there at the time which was usually M&Ms. One night, we were acting dumb as usual, and started throwing M&Ms at one another. Usually this would not have been a problem, but Jana was sitting up against our refrigerator and there was a Diet Pepsi above her head. One of the M&Ms I threw at her hit the can, which caused it to fall over and dump on top of her. As we used to say, she got assaulted by a can of Diet Pepsi and M&Ms. Since she made her own clothes, and did a lot of costumes for anime and video game conventions, she had a lot of fabric underneath her bed, in her closet, on her bed…basically any place around the room that was free space that could reasonably contain fabric of any sort. We also had to constantly be on the lookout for straight pins on the floor when we were walking around barefoot.
