Synopsis: Murder in a One Hearse Town

Disgraced, unemployable big time disc jockey Don Murphy moves to the tiny Arizona town of Crest Top (rhymes with messed up) where his only job offer comes from - a tiny community radio station staffed by rural whack-jobs and eccentrics. Being new to town and Arizona for that matter, Don keeps running afoul of local customs. Like when he goes to a fancy restaurant without wearing a gun. Or when he states he prefers French to Ranch dressing on his salad. And especially when he accidently becomes town sheriff just before the first murder since 1879. And you do remember what happened in 1879, don't you? You don't? Hmmm. Yer not from 'roun here, rya? Its Cresstup, fella. Yew wouldnunderstan.

Excerpt: Murder in a One Hearse Town

". . . Don subscribed to the Keith Richards Theory of Substance Abuse, which held that binge drinking and illicit substances killed the weakest brain cells first. Meaning that if he kept at the process long enough, by Darwinian selection, he'd be a genius, with kidneys the size and shape of mummified walnuts. All of life is a trade-off and he felt he could live with that one. After all, Stephen Hawking was getting some. You could just tell.
