Instead of giving an excerpt (I'm not far along enough to have one ready... I know, I know, I'm trying) I'll just tell you a little about my story.

It's working title is called "Grace Notes." It's about a man named Tom who sold his soul to the devil to become an amazing Jazz vocalist, the only problem is there's a "read between the lines" type of consequence that keeps him from being able to touch other people without causing havoc.

It's meant to be a light-hearted comedy ala Vonnegut, etc. (with obvious serious stuff from time to time). When I get to a part that I think is half-decent I'll replace this stuff with that.
