Lisa & Kate: Twenty years of Letters

I’ve been thinking a lot about our friendship, we’ve known each other a very long time! Can you believe it’s been twenty years? Congratulations my friend! You are my oldest friend!.......You and I have kept in touch, although thousands of miles lie between us. You live half a country away! How in the world did we do this? .....

......I daydream so much during school. I don’t listen very much at all. I can’t think sometimes in that small room with all of those stupid people. Sometimes I daydream about being a princess locked in a tower, but I can see out my windows, all of the countryside. The schoolroom is my tower, and in my daydreams, the walls dissolve into windows to the world. I love imagining birds flying by, dragons skimming over clouds, some times I hop on a dragon’s back and go flying through the sky. I have always had a wild imagination. Sometimes I imagine that I’m digging for dinosaur bones in a cave, and I discover a dinosaur that no one has ever seen before! Then suddenly my face is on the cover of magazines and newspapers and I’m super duper famous because I found the new Lisasaurus…you know, they name it after me! If it weren’t for my imagination, I don’t know what I’d do! I guess I’d draw and paint and read a lot! But my imagination takes me places that I don’t know if there are books about!! Some day, Beth, I’d like to write a book. I don’t know what I’d write about.
