Brief Author Bio: I'm merely an eighteen year old girl who's just beginning to realize how tough life truly is, especially when you realize you'll never hit above the five feet mark. I've lived in Canada all my life, and don't plan on leaving the country anytime soon, although in the late future I may change city locations. I don't have many interesting things to say about me, except that my decision to take writing a bit more professionally probably came several years too late. Still willing to give it a shot. I live with five other family members, soon to be four. I'm an incredibly bitter person, rude to boot, and I'm not a fun person to deal with when I get mad at someone. But... if I like you, we're a-okay. Drawing is another passion of mine, and photography is something I may wish to pursue further in the future. I babble endlessly. Let's hope for better luck this year in completeing a project planned for over six years! |

The train finally left an hour after it had arrived in Freishutz. He watched the mountains become a blur as the train sped down the tracks. He came close to falling asleep when his phone suddenly rang. He prayed for it to be Von.
“Hey, Kenny?” Instead, he got a massive blond Thateos. “Are you on your way yet?”
“I should be there by…three. In the morning.” Kenny explained. He heard Dorché groan. “Well, sorry!”
“No, it’s fine. It’s just…I wanted to discuss something with you. A couple of other Knights began to notice it just recently, but I’ve noticed it for awhile, and…I feel I can trust you with it.” Kenny glanced at his phone to make sure he was talking to Dorché. “I, uh…I don’t want to mention much else right now, so when you get back…and get some sleep, of course…do you think you could stop by me and Scarlet’s apartment?”
“Yeah, sure…” Kenny said simply. “Er…are you sure, though? Should I tell Mad – “
“Don’t tell anyone else. I haven’t actually even brought this up with Scarlet yet.”
‘How bloody bad is this that he hasn’t even brought this up with his own wife?!’
“Alright then,” Kenny replied simply. Dorché gave him a quick goodbye and hung up. He realized that Scarlet must’ve entered the room. He hung up and continued to look back out the window, where green fields were in view. He glanced at the female’s who sat across from him, who had been eyeing something below Kenny’s seat. Kenny looked down, but didn’t see anything.
It hit him rather quickly, and he crossed his legs and pulled his coat over his crotch embarrassingly before anything unexpected sprang up. Both the girls looked clearly disappointed at Kenny’s movement. He sighed annoyingly, praying for the trip to go quickly.
--
Dorché, to Kenny’s surprise, was waiting at the train station for him. The weather had cooled down significantly in Divine, as well, as he could see Dorché’s breath in the distance. Kenny quickly left his compartment, but the girls who shared his compartment followed him quickly out of his compartment.
‘Leave me aloooone!’ His mind cried. He pushed his out of the train, and quickly jogged over to Dorché. Fortunately, his superior (‘Currently former superior,’ Kenny corrected himself) spotted him right away, waving him down. Kenny quickly stood close to him, glancing backwards.
“These creepy teenagers were staring at my crotch the entire ride,” Kenny whined.
“You didn’t pop one out, did you? How old are they, exactly? You’re not exactly an adult yet, you know.” Dorché asked, clearly amused by Kenny’s situation.
“No, I didn’t! They’ve got to be maybe fourteen, at most…”
“Oh, ew!” Dorché cried, covering his mouth.
“Dorché, your wife is four years younger than you; you aren’t allowed to say that! But yeah, it is gross, they’re so bony and…teenager-ish, y’know?” Kenny explained, waving his hands. He glanced back again, only to see the girls had gotten off the train. “Oh, no, they’re off, let’s go!”
It was too late. Before Kenny could drag Dorché out of the station, the two girls had approached them. They barely stood above Dorché’s waistline.
“We wanted to ask if we could get your number by chance,” the one girl said with a smile. “My friend thinks you’re really cute.” The other girl had begun to blush, and Kenny could assume her cheeks weren’t red from the cold.
“Sorry, girls, you’re way too young for me, I’ve got rules. Let’s go now, Dorché.” Kenny grabbed Dorché’s sleeve as he bursted into laughter, unable to stop himself. “Shut up, please…”
