The three friends were all dancing around in Haley’s room blasting Fall Out Boy out of the stereo loud enough to flood the whole house with music. Haley’s mom walked up to the front door and immediately heard the music. She unlocked the door, placed her briefcase on the tile floor beside a wooden chair and carefully hung her black pea coat on the coat hanger next to the chair. She was used to Haley’s music always covering the house in a think blanket of guitars chords and drum beats. She walked up the stairs and stopped outside of her daughter’s room. She stood there for a whole song before they finally saw her. Madison and Travis stopped dancing and Haley turned the volume down.
