Synopsis: Gilded Flowers

Jamie Shaw goes to The Valley to spend the summer with her recently widowed grandmother. She is surrounded by cousins and various chess-playing men who all know her. When she finds a box filled with letter and a locket on the attic of her grandparent's house, a secret is beginning to unravel. A fifty-one year old murder who was never solved will once again rise to the surface and Jamie and her friends begin to suspect a conscription.
All this happens in the blossoming midst of the Sunflower Festival. Jamie finds letters, lockets and an unforgivable summer.
