Jigsaw Puzzle
an excerpt
The House stood there gleaming against the early morning rays of the sun. It was not a villa or a bungalow or anything ostentatious, just a tiny little self-sufficient cottage. Gulmohar and laburnum trees embellished the facade of the house. A dozen Coconut and neem trees criss-crossed each other and formed a ‘Green crown’ above the house and the rays of the rising sun, lurking behind the branches, shimmered magnificently, like a diamond festooning the crown. Multi-colored Bougainvilleas lined the entire perimeter of the compound walls and made it look like a floral necklace adorning the house. The little front garden was a pretty sight too .A miniscule lawn invited the visitors cheerfully with its multiple varieties of crotons and dainty shrubs. A pergola stood in the middle of it with Jasmine and mosanda vines dangling from its metal rungs. A Lab pup was going round the pergola in circles, mindlessly chasing the butterflies, dragonflies and toads. Altogether, the house, looked like a radiant, blushing bride, all decked up and ready for marriage. The nameplate on the iron gate read:
'The Chopras: Vindhya, Kanchen, Aanai,Munna and Reno'
