Synopsis: Black Coffee and Ramadan

Hala is a freshman in college in Islamabad, Pakistan, and a year-old vampire. To hide from her overbearing parents, she married Adrian, her friend and teacher at university. Hala and Adrian are visited by Elijah and Maria, two friend of Adrian's, who tell that Jericho- an ancient disease plagueing vampires, has re-awakened and is ravaging their kind. Jericho, as Maria explains, causes vampires to lust after the blood of fellow vampires, rather than humans. The four try to leave Islamabad, but discover that they're surrounded by Night Stalkers, vampires infected with Jericho. Elijah reveals that Maria is a carrier for the disease, and they set out to find the cure, using the Bible, the Old Testament, and the Quran- stories passed down by the ancient vampires and twisted by mortals- as guideposts.
