Synopsis: Within Abandon

K.D. is a girl comfortable with sliding just this side of insane. The apocalypse has come to Earth, and while the rest of the world cowers in fear, K.D. has a plan. Unfortunately, that plan involves throwing herself of a 40 ft overpass. But, K.D. doesn't want to die. Four days later, she walks away unscathed and finds herself in a city full of the dead, and is certain that she is now in Hell. For a year, K.D. wanders the ruins of civilization, a scavenger - and patient zero for a deadly phsycosis-spawning virus that will forever change the face of Humanity. That is, until she meets Brody, a survivor intent on discovering why for the past year, the City's population has begun a very rapid decline. How long will it be before Brody discovers the truth behind the deaths, and the girl the locals fearfully refer to as Katie Crowe.
