Prologue
He urged the white horse on, the pounding hooves silent even as the hit the rough stones. The riders behind him drew nearer, and he knew his time was running out.
The horse surged forwards, to a fallen tree, gaining speed.
Arrows whistled through the air.
The horse leaped, flying over... a glimpse of water... a flash of bright light...
Then all went black
