Canada :: British Columbia :: Elsewhere
Favorite writers: Eva Ibbotsen, J.K. Rowling, Erin Hunter, Brian Jacques, ETC!
Favorite music: Something empowering, but not "self-help-y", anything funky, some "reggae twists", repetative, a pinch of death-metal, quiet, with some screaming, and a lovely melodical voice, like Bjork, all wrapped together.
Non-noveling interests: (I was just about to say "writing" but i guess that counts as noveling!) Trumpeting, listening to music, being awesome, awkward silences..........

an excerpt
Excerpt One:
The girl continued. “My name’s Lilac, and we-” she paused, gesturing at the boy standing beside her, partially hidden by the shadow of the house they were standing beside “-need to go after him, and you’re coming, because you’ve seen too much.”
She stated this as if it was the simplest thing in the world. Daniel looked desperately at the boy for help. “I’m Colin,” he whispered.
“Daniel,” Daniel offered, pleased to be able to talk to someone who seemed slightly…sane.
Excerpt Two:
“Oh, that’s right, my poor, naïve, uninformed Daniel; that was your name, right?” she paused, giving him just enough time to nod before launching back into speech. “Well, you see, my brother-” this time, she was cut off involuntarily.
“Wait, you two are…related?” said Daniel slowly, as if trying to wrap both his mind and tongue around the word.
“No, I throw around the term ‘brother’ very lightly,” said Lilac, the sarcasm dripping from her words.
