Funny thing not knowing who you are. I am not talking about not knowing spiritually who you are and where your place in life is, no, actually not knowing a single thing, or rather, not remembering. Just waking up one day with a name and nothing more. Instead of scrambling to find the missing pages of your life, it is much easier to just pick up a pen and start writing them yourself. But there will always be the people that took everything away from you. They do not want you to pick up that pen, and they certainly do not want you to find those missing pages. So instead, they take the pen and start writing as many lies as possible, anything to keep you from finding the truth. Eventually you stop fighting this; you just accept what they tell you as truth, until the day you remember. There is no feeling in this universe like remembering. It does not come back in pieces as many think, oh no. It comes back all at once. The emotions, the details, the people, the events, everything. It all just storms right back into your brain without warning. And then the questions come. Why was this taken from me? Was it that important? And the curiosity, it turns into a desire, a need for revenge against those people that robbed you of such precious memories. Sometimes though, even after remembering it all, you realize there are things you have yet to learn. And once you learn them, you regret remembering, you wish you just knew nothing at all. Knowledge can kill.
