Brief Author Bio: I am married to my favorite person, Paul, and we both work for Starbucks. Which is great cause I'll need caffeine this month. Both of us love movies, comics, books, and music. I'm a big fan of the fantasy and sci fi genres, but lately my writing has leaned more towards historical fiction (my nanowrimo last year was also about WWII). I'm a huge procrastinator so I'm working hard on acquiring structure. Wish me luck! |

Synopsis:
So far I have a story set in Germany right after the end of WWII. We follow an american war correspondent working on a case of espionage.
Excerpt:
"So you will not ask me where I was?" she finally broke the silence. I almost jumped, we'd been sitting there for so long.
I sat there silent for a little bit longer. I was still angry. I could have just let it all out and yelled and scolded, but I figured I should choose my words carefully.
"Do you feel that you owe me an explanation?" I asked.
She scowled for a moment and then lowered her head. There was that silence again. While she pondered my question I put my papers down, got up and stared out the window. I started thinking on the question myself. Did she really owe me an explanation? She's a grown woman. We can't even claim to have known each other for more than three weeks. Did she really owe me anything at all?
