Brief Author Bio: What is there to know? I'm a wife, mother, writer, and sometime knitter. I also play video games, run around outside with my kids, hike, camp, and go on picnics to the many lovely campground areas in Southern Idaho. I love fantasy and science fiction. My interests have broadened over the years to also include some facets of science, history, true crime, and other non-fiction topics. This is not my first year doing NaNo, nor do I think it will be my last. |

Synopsis: Chronicles of the Fallen
The second race wars devastated the continent of Vassa. A kingdom fell, an empire crumbled, and magic as it was known disappeared from the world. The story of those who came after this disaster has already been written. It is the stories of those who were there - those who became an integral part of what happened to the world - that have as of yet not been told. These, then, are their stories. They are the Fallen Ones. They are the ones who let pride, greed, despair, loneliness, bitterness, or other such feelings distort their judgment to the point that they became instruments of this world's destruction. These, then, are the chronicles of those individuals - the Chronicles of the Fallen.
Excerpt: Chronicles of the Fallen
Time is not static. It moves and flows as the will of mortals and immortals alike cause ripples and waves. We can not stand still and watch it pass by. We must learn what came before us. For if we do not learn, we will repeat the same mistakes over and over again until all that is left of this world is charred ash and the dead.
I have soared through the skies and walked these lands for centuries without number, watching and teaching as I went. I have called many mortals friends and have lost them all to the bitter reality of war and death. I have mourned them all, and still I find myself new friends among those who live in the world even now.
There are few alive who know of the events that have led to this world standing on the brink of destruction. There are even fewer who know how it all started. But what was in the beginning is happening again and it must not come to pass that the same errors of the past be lived again by the present.
