Excerpt: Mystic Island :: Book 2

((Prelude :: Changing Times))

Mystic Island; a large island holding five kingdoms - Mystica, Glaciera, Firnoria, Aironia, and Gardena. Each kingdom on the island has their own king and queen; five guards each, or as they are called on the island – guardians. Each kingdom is only separated by the element powers they hold. Glaciera, ice and water; Firnoria, fire; Aironia, air and wind; Gardena, earth; the only kingdom within the island that was different was the Mystica kingdom. Mystica powers laid in light and water; however there was a guardian for each element in Mystica.

Mystica was the key to keeping all the islands in harmony with each other and they all lived in peace. The symbol of Mystica; which is a symbol of two dolphins lining in a shape of a heart. In the center held the Mystic crystal. Over the years the heart shaped dolphin icon became the icon for the island as a whole.

Two of the kingdoms had different views and tried to take over by attempting to attack Mystica strait froward. Those kingdoms were Firnoria and Glaceria. The rulers of the became corrupt by power, not wanting peace or agreeing to Mystica being the center hold of the island. The rulers forced upon the other kingdoms to choose sides however Gardena and Aironia both chose to side with Mystica, in turn creating one of the first major conflicts in the island history therefore disrupting the peace among the island.

The thee of the kingdoms that joined forces wanted to keep the conflict within the island and settle it within the island. The rulers of Firnoria and Glaceria made attempts to attacks at Mystica, however the rulers of Gardena, Aironia, and of course, Mystica along with their guardians were still too much. Firnoria and Glaceria began to cease attacks to become stronger to be a challenge for Mystica and train their guardians to become stronger.

The day came; when Firnoria and Glaceria attempted again to attack and tried to succeed. The queen of Mystica, Seion Mizune, became fearful and used her powers of light to shield the kingdom, however she was too late, the rulers of Firnoria and Glaceria advanced into the kingdom and began to kill people within Mystica causing an uproar. The guardians from all three of the kingdoms; Mystica, Gardena, and Aironia, took the front and defended. And so our tale begins; the day the kingdoms of Firnoria and Glaceria invade and attempt to overthrow the rulers of Mystica.

((Chapter 1 :: A New World))

The day begins; we find a girl in the castle garden picking flowers in the distance. “Erika” a voice calls out from the distance. Catching the little girls' attention she turns around holding a handful of flowers in her right hand. She blinks her brown eyes and uses her left hand to rub her left eye.

Erika Mizune; the daughter of the queen of Mystica. A little girl of five years old, wearing a long light blue dress, in the back hanging is her long brown hair of waist length tied into a braid put in by her mother. A bright but shy girl. She loved being outside and playing in the garden even if she was by herself. But most of all what she liked doing in the garden is picking flowers to give to her mother. Around her neck she wore her dolphin necklack; just the same as the necklace her mother had. Two dolphins that were shaped into a heart. In the center shown the crystal of her kingdom; the Mystic crystal.

“Mommy” she calls out and smiles.
