Ohoko
an excerpt

“Wait… is it…?” the brown wolf asked, his orange eyes narrowing.
“What?” Ohoko asked.
“The great leader? Ohoko?” She was taken aback. Her eyes widened. “We were told a great leader was coming. Her name was Ohoko. She would change the world as she saw it.” Ohoko stepped back.
“She does meet the description. Gray fur, yellow eyes, young brown and white adolescent companion,” the gray-yellow female commented.
“Yes! She is the one who will lead us,” a purple wolf said. All of the wolves nodded in agreement. Tikaani looked at Ohoko in disbelief. Ohoko was stunned herself. Her? A great leader?
Ohoko smirked. Her place was secure. She was the new alphess.
“Ohoko…” Tikaani whispered. “Are you sure about this?”
“I will take the role!” Ohoko announced. This was all too easy. “Come, we must bury… our… deceased…”
Mournful howls echoed through the sky as Ohoko dug a hole to bury Siarut and Tuwawi.
“Ohoko,” Tikaani started. “Isn’t burial a human technique?”
“Shut up, you!” she whispered angrily back. It was something done for humans… but it showed respect, and Ohoko fully respected every aspect of killing. Including hiding the body.
