Brief Author Bio: I write because I can't *not* write. I get inspired by everything around me, and the stories build up inside me until they would burst free of their own accord if I didn't put them on paper (or pixels). While I do write original fiction and poetry, I also enjoy writing fan fiction. Since I participate in NaNo for fun, I'll be writing a fanfic novel this year (as I did last year). I would love to have more Writing Buddies, so feel free to NaNoMail me if you'd like to be my Buddy. Good luck to us all! |

Synopsis: A Thousand Miles Up the Nile with Yugi Mutuo
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single seance.
Medium Ryou Bakura had almost grown accustomed to the ghostly voices in his head -- until murder victim Yami showed up. Sacrificed in a dark ritual intended to bring the mummy of an ancient sorcerer back to life, Yami needs Ryou's help to stop the mummy's plans for world domination. Encountering black magic, a cadre of argumentative spirits, and a secret society along the way, Ryou and Yami must travel up the Nile as they try to protect those the mummy would destroy -- and find a way to stop him, once and for all.
Excerpt: A Thousand Miles Up the Nile with Yugi Mutuo
When Yami awoke with the sun, as was his usual habit, he had no intimation he would end up tied to a sarcophagus in a deserted tomb before the sun went down. Turning his head, the only part of his body he could easily move, Yami stared at the body sharing his uncomfortable soon-to-be bier.
The shriveled black face of the mummy stared back at him with empty eye sockets.
