Excerpt: Floating on Indecipherable Truths

Strands of intoxicated sleep blow off as the car murmurs, almost solo, along the highway. I'm thinking about them... The sky begins glowing blue, becoming brilliant. I cannot see the ocean through the trees, which are everywhere. They even invade the car, their antisceptic tar scent scooped from its ghostly pungeancy all over the highway and into the air vents. The chemicals sustaining me, all hormones, all blood and hemoglobin, all the H2O, and all else, combust in frenzied melancholy and I'm not sure what to do with this.
