Excerpt: YASO (working title)

The interior was dimly lit, and quite noisy. A band up on the main stage played loud and dischordant music, while the patrons, scattered all over, spoke loudly to be heard above the noise. Looking around, Virgil estimated that about half of the clientele appeared to be human, with the other half he pegged as aliens or modifieds. Most of those that fell int the 'not exactly human' category were at least humanoid, but there were a few that clearly were not. Virgil tried not to stare, but the whole thing was quite new to him.
