Synopsis: Guilt
15-year old Stan gets the blame for the death of his little sister. Everybody thinks it is his fault and they keep on telling him this over and over again. It is summer and Stan feels lonelier than ever.He didn't expect this to happen!
He thought summer would be a break from the horrible bullying at school. But even that seems to go on.
He starts to get a horrible feeling about himself, even a feeling of guilt, and when school starts again, this feeling just gets stronger.
When his whole future begins to look even more bleak, a new girl comes in his class.
And she appears to have more in common with Stan than just a passion for drawing.
Excerpt: Guilt
They all say it's my fault we are gathered here today. I do manage to get a flower that I, along with the others, will put on her grave. The thorns are sticking in my fingers but I simply ignore them. What does it matter that it hurts? No pain can be as bad as what she had to go through. That little girl, so scared, drowning and shouting my name. At least I think she was shouting my name when it happened. I was there, but not close enough. I hold the rose even more tight in my hand and feel one of its thorns going deeper into my skin. It hurts and I even think I feel blood flowing. And for a moment, my tears stop running down my cheeks.
