Synopsis: A Dark Lady
Amongst the storm tossed waves of the Atlantic ocean rides a merchant ship, creaking protests against the lashing rain and howling gales. Deep down in the murky depths lies a shackled woman, protecting a swollen stomach from rolling barrels and crates.
Cast upon a foreign island and sold to a rich city merchant, she finds herself stooping to the lowest of lows. Lies, trickery, murder. Eventually landing herself upon the streets of London with no apparent way home and partaking in the most digusting of street trades. Things go from bad to worse when the greatest playwright of the age, William Shakespeare, falls for her tropical alure.
Stuck upon the streets of London, she must find her way home. With the increasing pressure of hiding an unwanted identity and the urgent need to return to her homeland, hope arrives in the most unlikely of guises.
