Synopsis:
My friend Carl said I should rewrite Samuel Richardson's 1740 novel _Pamela_ to involve elves, and I seem to be doing so, much to my amazement. _Pamela_ being the monstrous 222,000 word novel that it is, though, I am clearly either going to hit 50k long before I finish my rewrite, or make my version much *much* much shorter.
