Brief Author Bio: The aforesaid Author was 8 years of age when she wrote a decidedly lacking poem about Spring - an inspiration for all writers. But it was a beginning. From then on she entered into the world of poets and was lost therein for quite a few years. She emerged at about the age of 11 into the realm of storytelling due to a writing class that demanded more than tidbits of rhymes. She slowly moved towards a more productive sense of writing as essay assignments flew by in the following semesters. Nothing was really written besides essays in those years, except for the rare flukes of creative writing - a short story, a poem of Pi, and so on. By the time the Author was 13, it was time to get down and really write something worthwhile. She started laying the elements for a novel, and by the Summer of '07 she had begun writing. Of course other things intervened, and the novel was chopped down to a short story, due to a rather lacking sense of interest in the plot. It was finally finished in July 2008, two years after she had first conceived the idea. The aforesaid story still does not have a title. During the Summer of '08 the author became aware of NaNoWriMo, and that was that. She now approaches her first attempt at a novel in 30 days with rather timid expectations. |
